The Clerk's Office is currently ONLY scheduling appointments for Marriage License applicants. For all other business, please follow the instructions listed below.

You can now use your MasterCard or Visa for payment in the City Clerk's office. Valid for in-person payments only.
MAIL REQUESTS
When sending in a form by mail, be sure to include a photocopy of your driver's license or two other forms of identification.
You must also include a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Failure to do so will result in a delay in processing your request until the necessary requirements are met.

The State of New York requires all dogs to be licensed with the City or Town in which they live. Dog owners found to be without a license will be given 21 days to become compliant before facing any fines or penalties.

* A Senior Citizen is considered someone 65 years or older. ID is required
You and your healthcare provider can complete the Application for a Parking Permit or License Plates, for Persons with Severe Disabilities (MV-664.1). You can also have your healthcare provides (MD, DO, DPM, or NP) complete a statement on their letterhead. The statement must describe the disabling condition and verify that the disability qualifies according to the law. Please visit DMV's website for more information.
If you live in the City of Schenectady, you may fax or mail the form or statement to our office for issuance. There is no fee for a permit. DMV does not issue parking permits.
