SCHENECTADY – Mayor Gary McCarthy announced that the City of Schenectady will host a series of volunteer neighborhood cleanup events throughout the spring. The cleanup events are scheduled for the following dates and locations:
- May 7, 2022 at 9:30am: Mont Pleasant Neighborhood
Meeting Location: Bridge Christian Church, 735 Crane Street, Schenectady, NY 12303
- May 21, 2022 at 9:30am: Bellevue Neighborhood
Meeting Location: Hillhurst Park, Campbell Avenue, Schenectady, NY 12306
- May 28, 2022 at 9:30am: State Street from Brandywine Avenue to Nott Terrace
Meeting Location: 1101 State Street, Schenectady, NY 12304
- June 4, 2022 at 9:30am: State Street from Brandywine Avenue to Route 7
Meeting Location: 1101 State Street, Schenectady, NY 12304
- June 11, 2022 at 9:30am: Albany Street from Jackson Avenue to Balltown Road
Meeting Location: Woodlawn Park, 133 Kings Road, Schenectady, NY 12304
- June 18, 2022 at 9:30am: Central State Street Neighborhood
Meeting Location: 108 N. Brandywine Avenue, Schenectady, NY 12307

City crews will coordinate with neighborhood associations and other volunteers to pick up litter and debris from the public right-of-way. These events will build upon the recent cleanup events in the Goose Hill neighborhood and Hamilton Hill neighborhood, Mayor McCarthy added.
